Adobe Electric Blanket be aware
I bought this product on 25 May 2012, today is 20 May 2013. Last night one of the heater control cords came out of the blanket itself and would not stay together. My partner taped the control cord with electricians tape to hold it together. As a result I have had to order a new electric blanket (different brand and higher cost) as I don't like the idea of electrical things being taped together (even by an expert).
The product worked fine last winter and we have only just started using it again this year. I am not happy that the control cord connection has failed just as the 12 months warranty is expiring. Please check if you have one of these blankets that the control cord is attached securely to the blanket and not loose.

Highly Recommended!
Great reliable product, easy to use. The dual side controls are great for sharing the bed. Highly recommended.

Could be easier to fit.
This is a good product for the price. The controls are easy to use and the graduated lights make it useful to know what number heat setting you have on in the dark. Being able to wash it is very convenient but the big downside is that with a queen pillow top mattress it was VERY difficult stretching the fitted part over the corners. Almost needed a crow bar. Would be near impossible for anyone with arthritis or of senior years. Because of this I can only give it three stars instead of five.

Keep warm on cold winter nights
I always thought that electric blankets were for librarians and octogenarians, but after a cold snap and a move to a 'rustic' old house left me blue-lipped and shivering after sun down, I was forced to revise that opinion.
This blanket is super easy to use (3 heat settings), has dual controls (the wife can have her side hot enough to roast a chook, mine is toasty warm), and is extremely reasonably well priced.
On the down-side it is a little slow to warm up, but if you remember to flick it on 20 minutes before bed time, you'll be sleeping like a baby.
